Indonesian warehouse project Djakarta, the most important EDM festival in Asia

Since its inception in 2008, Djakarta Warehouse Project has grown to change into the most important and most eclectic dance music festival in Asia, welcoming a record 90,000 guests to its two-day event in 2016, beating out other highly successful dance music events , corresponding to Ultra Japan , as he quotes Notice board.

Organizers expect this 12 months’s event – going down on the Jakarta International Expo center (home of the festival since 2014) on December 15-16 – to set one other record.

The festival line-up in the primary phase will cover all the fundamentals. The headliners will include future bass pioneers Flumlegendary Tiesto, festival star DJ Marshmellopop-dance professionals Galantisbass behemoths DVBBSside project of W&W NWYR and Dutch electro monster R3hab.

This 12 months’s second phase of the lineup includes techno powerhouses Richie Hawtin AND Crazy saysTrance artist Ian Bluestoneand bass heads Zeds is dead AND Flostradamus. Steve Aoki will emit house sounds from a big room.

The lineup included several other DJs, including: Rehabilitation, Loco Dice, Flume, Ookay, AND Tiesto. NEW is about to present an exclusive performance in Asia featuring Elrow A label with its own stage.

Due to its diverse lineup of top artists and inexpensive price point, DWP manages to draw not only local dance music fans, but additionally fans from throughout Southeast Asia.

Since its founding, DWP has benefited from increased interest in EDM equipment throughout the region. “We said that the electronic music scene is now… bigger than ever,” says Rijanto.

“With DJs working with pop stars and all the online promotion, mainstream bands are doing really well.”

DWP is near achieving Ismaya Live’s goal of making a festival platform that can position Indonesia as a music market leader in Asia. “We have a huge population of passionate music fans in the country and we want to show the world what the people of Indonesia can do,” says Rijanto.

Tickets for DWP are on sale now, with weekend tickets starting at IDR 1,150,000 (roughly $80) and VIP passes starting at IDR 2,500,000 (roughly $180).
