Bangkok Airways has once more achieved an honourable milestone by being named the World’s Best Regional Airline and Asia’s Best Regional Airline for 2024 on the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
This isn’t the primary award for Bangkok Airways. The airline has been named World’s Best Regional Airline eight times (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024) and Asia’s Best Regional Airline twelve times (2004, 2005, 2008, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024). The airline was also honored as Southeast Asia’s Best Regional Airline in 2006 and 2007.

Skytrax defines regional airlines as full-service carriers that primarily operate domestic and/or international flights of as much as about six hours. While some regional airlines may operate a small variety of longer flights, their primary focus is on short- and medium-haul routes, where customer expectations for services differ from those for long-haul routes.
Skytrax collects data from over 350 airlines through customer satisfaction surveys conducted amongst 21 million passengers in 100 countries, making it the worldwide reference for airlines.

Bangkok Airways outperformed its competitors within the categories of domestic and international flights lasting six hours or less and was named Best Regional Airline. The airline also ranked twenty seventh within the World’s 100 Best Airlines 2024.
This proud achievement is a testament to the commitment of each Thai airlines to supply passengers with the very best flight experience. It can be expected that this achievement will further increase tourist interest in visiting Thailand.
