According to Shein, improving the commercial situation in Zanzibar would increase employment and the region’s gross domestic product (GDP).
Agar Swallow president and CEO Hendrico Soewardjono said the corporate is able to help Zanzibar.
During a gathering with Indonesian Vice President Jusuf Kalla earlier this week, Shein said Zazibar desired to strengthen ties with Indonesia and establish cooperation in agriculture and tourism, state news agency Antara reported.
Kalla said Indonesia has offered scholarships to strengthen cooperation in education.
Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania, an archipelago positioned off the coast of this East African country.
