Vietnamese automaker VinFast has announced plans to expand into the Southeast Asian electric mobility market with a full range of electrical vehicles (EVs).
VinFast intends to launch its first 4 right-hand drive electric vehicles.
The official debut of the VinFast brand and products in Asia took place on the Future Mobility Asia 2023 event, marking a major milestone in the corporate’s regional market strategy and global growth journey.
During the event, VinFast presented three electric vehicle models – VF e34, VF 8 and VF 9 – and provided test drives in order that visitors could experience the electrical vehicle models and their intelligent functions first-hand.
In addition to its customer focus, VinFast has been actively in search of latest partners to expand its market presence and promote sustainable mobility solutions within the region.
In addition to specializing in key markets similar to North America and Europe, VinFast has also expressed its intention to expand into the Southeast Asian market.
The company also plans to introduce right-hand drive versions of its electric vehicle models – VF 5, VF 6, VF 7 and VF e34 – tailored to specific market characteristics and requirements.

The company’s goal is to offer smart and secure mobility solutions to ASEAN countries, ensuring excellent experiences and promoting a greener future.
VinFast offers a comprehensive range of electrical vehicle models from A to E, including the VF e34, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9.
In addition to the automotive range, VinFast also offers a variety of eight electric scooter models catering to different segments from mass market to premium, including Klara, Impes, Ludo, Tempest, Evo200, Feliz, Vento and Theon.
The VinFast ecosystem goes beyond vehicles to incorporate e-buses, advanced battery technology and charging solutions, all inside the Vingroup ecosystem.
VinFast sees potential in Southeast Asian countries as promising markets for electric vehicle consumption, offering great opportunities for development and rapid growth.
