The latest FIFA rankings have once more confirmed the strong position of the Vietnamese men’s national football team, which has maintained its ninety fifth position on this planet and the coveted primary position in Southeast Asia. This achievement comes as no surprise given the recent string of international matches that took place after FIFA Days in June.
In July, soccer fans witnessed a complete of 62 international matches. Among them, 25 matches were fiercely competitive within the CONCACAF Gold Cup – an exciting competition by which national teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean participate. Meanwhile, the remaining 37 matches took place in two major tournaments: the South Asian Football Championship (SAFF Cup) and the COSAFA Cup, which showcase the abilities of Southern African nations. It is price noting that these tournaments are classified as friendly matches, so their results didn’t cause any significant changes in the highest ten world rankings.
It is due to this fact not surprising that the mighty soccer world champions, Argentina, still retained their top position within the FIFA rankings. Other football giants akin to France, Brazil, England, Belgium, Croatia, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and Spain followed closely to round out the highest ten.
With a give attention to Southeast Asia, the Vietnamese team’s consistent performances have cemented their popularity because the leading soccer team within the region. Their unwavering determination and exceptional skills allowed them to stay at the highest, while other Southeast Asian countries akin to Thailand and the Philippines secured second and third positions respectively, rating 113th and one hundred and thirty fifth on this planet.
