When starting a city from scratch, one among the advantages is that they’ll have big dreams, or more precisely, high aspirations for town’s design.
Indonesia appears to be doing the exact same for Nusantara, with the goal of enabling a transportation system that features flying vehicles in the long run capital of Nusantara.
Professor Mohammed Ali Berawi, a civil engineer who serves as deputy head of the Department of Green and Digital Transformations on the Nusantara Capital City Government (OIKN), stated that an agreement has been reached with Hyundai Motor Group of South Korea to develop and construct an Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) system ) in Nusantara.
He stated: “The system will be put to the test [in Nusantara]and the test is scheduled for 2024.”
However, because flying automobile technology continues to be in its infancy, it might be many years before we see crowds of air cars taking to the skies above Nusantara.
“We are not creating this metropolis for 2024, rather we are looking ahead to 2045, so that is what flying car technology is for. “It’s hard to imagine flying cars here and now, but who knows? Perhaps by 2035,” Mohammed said.
“We have the potential to be one of the first companies to bring this technology to market.”
Nusantara, positioned in East Kalimantan province, will turn out to be Indonesia’s recent capital, displacing Jakarta, which is tormented by stifling levels of pollution and traffic jams. In 2024, the federal government intends to start the technique of moving the country’s administrative center to Nusantara.
