Snoop Dogg, rapper, cultural figure and business mogul, has just launched INDOxyz specialty coffee, a brand new line of Indonesian coffee products. To source, roast and produce cold brew products in whole bean, pre-ground and ready-to-drink (RTD) form, The Doggfather partnered with Indonesian coffee entrepreneur Michael Riady.
Snoop Dogg recently told Daily Coffee News, “I at all times felt in Indonesia and Michael at all times took care of us once we were there. He would take me to the most effective coffee shop on the planet and from there we might figure the whole lot out together. .
In 2017, Riady founded Tentera Surf & Coffee Roasters, a totally organic Indonesian specialty coffee roaster. His family has been growing coffee in Indonesia for five generations. The company’s branding took into consideration Riady’s passion for browsing, his busy lifestyle and his close relationship with coffee.
Riady was searching for latest directions and latest partners to revitalize the corporate as growth stalled and lots of accounts were lost resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. Snoop, alternatively, was searching for a stimulating product to have interaction with in order that he and his friends would at all times be prepared for any inspiration and motivation.
Snoop Dogg, who’s best known for his work as a rapper, can be the owner of Death Row Records, one of the recognizable names in hip-hop music. He is a founding member of Casa Verde Capital, an investment firm specializing in cannabis. He controls, amongst other things, his own cannabis company, a gin brand and Broadus Foods, which produces Snoop cereal.
Sumatra, Java, Bali and Sulawesi are among the many islands from which Riady gets its coffee. They are shipped to Los Angeles, where Riady roasts them on the Tentera Loring S15 roaster, which is INDoxyz’s principal operation.
With Riady focusing solely on INDOxyz, for which he and Snoop created latest roast profiles to showcase Indonesian-grown coffees, the Tentera retail brand is now being phased out.
Promoted by Snoop as fuel for creatives, actives and shakers, INDOxyz-approved products can be found in incredibly vibrant yellow packaging, with whole and pre-ground coffee in bags and RTD cold brew in cans.
According to Riady, the primary product was a medium-dark roast Sumatran single-origin coffee, which he, Snoop, Snoop’s family and friends say makes for an enjoyable and accessible on a regular basis brew. While the corporate may eventually expand into other roasts, its focus will at all times be on serving pure, single-origin Indonesian coffee.
“It just tastes the most effective. And I’ve been world wide several times, you already know? Snoop told DCN. “I used to be here every step of the way in which. I see that Indo is a world brand and I needed to be certain it looked, felt and represented me the way in which it should.
INDOxyz is starting with a limited rollout in Snoop’s home state of California, then expanding to retail nationwide in $5.99 RTD cold brew cans and $17.99 whole bean coffees. The products shall be offered each on the Internet and in major grocery chains.
“All I can say is that there is a lot in store for us in the next few years,” Snoop said. “Indo will change coffee. Promise me.
