Indonesia ready to produce weapons and planes to Laos

During a press conference with Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has stressed that Indonesia is prepared to supply Laos with aircraft and weapons manufactured by the 2 state-owned enterprises.

For his part, Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith expressed hope that the 2 nations would repeatedly strengthen cooperation in sectors.

“On behalf of the federal government and other people of Laos, we express our gratitude to the federal government of Indonesia for the support it has provided us in several sectors and for its contribution to efforts to enhance the economic and social situation in Laos,” he said, quoted by Xinhua.

Indonesia’s state weaponS manufacturer PT Pindad (Persero) produces various ammunition, weapons, tanks and armored vehicles, while state-owned aircraft manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) produces helicopters and planes for each military and industrial purposes goals.
