Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said all one-day Bali tour packages offered to participants of the 2018 International Monetary Fund and World Bank annual meetings have been sold out.
He said that to this point, 2,600 tour packages to varied destinations have been sold, including 600 one-day tours in Bali, Liputan6.com reported.
“Statistically, 95 percent [of participants] I bought packages to Bali…trips to Lombok [in West Nusa Tenggara] and Labuan Bajo [in East Nusa Tenggara] were also on offer,” Arief told reporters in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Friday.
The Ministry of Tourism prepared 63 different tour packages, 33 of which included one-day sightseeing tours starting from $75 to $2,000, Arief said. According to the web site, “One of the packages is a three-day and two-night cruise to Labuan Bajo on board a yacht.” Jakarta Globe.
The Association of Indonesian Tourism Organizations and Travel Agencies (Asita) is coordinating the arrangements.
Arief said he expected 20 percent of foreign attendees on the IMF and World Bank meetings to return to Bali for the vacations.

About 34,000 people attended the annual event, including central bank governors and finance ministers from 189 countries.
“The direct impact on tourism is estimated at Rp 1 trillion [$66 million] through the event,” said the minister CNBC Indonesia.
The government forecast that Bali’s economy will likely grow by 0.64%, which might be a direct results of the IMF-World Bank meetings.
