The tallest skyscraper in Southeast Asia will open

The tallest skyscraper in Southeast Asia is about to open. Located within the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Exchange 106 will welcome its first tenants in December, CNN reported.

The constructing, which opened to journalists for the primary time on Wednesday, includes 93 floors of office space, with restaurants and shops in its lower part. Its distinctive geometric glass crown could be lit in a wide range of colours, and its “sky lobby” offers views of Malaysia’s capital.

Exchange 106 is over 40 meters (131 ft) taller than the nearby Petronas Towers, the world’s tallest buildings from 1998–2004. The recent tower also overtook Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City with a height of 469.5 m and have become Southeast Asia’s tallest skyscraper.

For comparison, the tallest constructing in Singapore – Guoco Tower in Tanjong Pagar – is 290 m high. Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest on the earth, at its highest point reaches 830 m, Jakarta Post Office reported.

The official press release in regards to the constructing described it as “a novel story of an early town and city structures… in an area once often called ‘Pak Luk Kan,’ which accurately means ‘Land of 106 Bungalows.’

Described by its developers as “Malaysia’s first international financial district”, much like London’s Canary Wharf, the World Trade Center skyscrapers in New York and the Shanghai International Financial Center on this a part of the world.

TRX consists of 30 buildings totaling 24 million square feet. HSBC and Affin Bank also intend to open skyscrapers as a part of the investment.
