The seven best places to travel after a breakup. Alone

Traveling alone can provide many advantages, including personal development, independence and a fresh perspective. But it is also a implausible medicine for a broken heart. (Have you ever read/seen Eat, Pray, Love?) While talking to Elle Huerta, CEO and founding father of personal breakup coach Mend, about post-breakup self-care suggestions, we discussed how traveling solo can assist with the method.

“I feel traveling may be very healing after a breakup since it lets you have a change of scenery, reconnect with yourself and spend time alone, which might be each scary and really rejuvenating,” Elle told us.

Whether the journey is successful or not doesn’t depend upon where you go; for those who actually used this era to decelerate and check yourself. You won’t have the opportunity to actually escape for those who’re so focused on the logistics of the trip, for instance. Elle suggests taking trip of your day to journal and self-reflect.

“If you just give yourself time to be still and not engage in any activity or conversation, I think there’s a really beautiful increase in growth when you travel,” she said. “I think it’s something we struggle with whether you’re traveling or at home; just finding that silence in the day when you can really just turn inward. I think if you remember that wherever you go, any journey can be incredibly restorative.”

In this case, the phrase “the journey is more vital than the destination” couldn’t be more appropriate. And we mean destination in essentially the most literal sense. However, for those who need some inspiration on where to flee, try Elle and Mend’s seven recommendations!

You do not have to travel around the globe for a change of scenery. Checking out a close-by city that was in your list or occurring a small sightseeing trip will even be enough.
