Around 120 strategic water and sanitation projects value USD 9.4 billion might be agreed on the tenth Global Water Forum in Bali from May 18-25, 2024. This information was provided by the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investments, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. , through the opening of the National Coordination Meeting of the tenth World Water Forum on the Laguna Resort and Spa in Bali (May 16).
This largest global water forum might be attended by 13,448 participants from 148 countries.
A May 17 press release estimated that roughly 9,477 delegates from 104 countries are expected to attend the forum in Nusa Dua, Bali’s Badung Regency.
Eight heads of state are expected to attend on the VVIP level, including heads of state from Timor-Leste, Fiji, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Hungary and Morocco, who will join Indonesia because the host country. One more head of state has not yet confirmed his presence.
There can even be three deputy prime ministers representing Malaysia, Papua New Guinea and Slovakia, and three special presidential envoys from the Netherlands, France and the United Arab Emirates. More than 105 ministers from 132 countries and international organizations are expected to attend.
Several delegates have already arrived via I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali on Wednesday (May 15), and more are expected to reach within the run-up to the 2024 World Water Forum.
