Da Nang and Hoi An
The city of Da Nang (the fourth largest in Vietnam, with a population of a million) and the colourful UNESCO World Heritage City of Hoi An (the one city not destroyed by the Vietnam War) are a part of an expanding stretch of picturesque beach and sparkling blue the ocean, which is usually made much more dramatic by the presence of mountains jutting out from the sand.
