Africa’s richest man will buy 10,000 Indonesian-made rural vehicles

An African billionaire plans to purchase 10,000 Indonesian-made light-duty pickup trucks, called rural multi-functional mechanical tools (AMMD), to be sold in Nigeria, Jakarta Post Office reported.

“The Dangote Group may be very fascinated about imports [the trucks] for its clients in Africa,” said Putu, quoted by compass.com on Monday. Putu said Dangote was fascinated about the multi-purpose vehicle due to its ability to hold water and cassava and seed processing machinery.

“The Dangote team will inspect the three units as a sample that will be taken to Africa at the end of January,” Putu said.

According to local Nigerian media New Telegraph, Dangote Group is a Nigerian company operating in areas reminiscent of cement, sugar and flour production. The company operates in Nigeria and other African countries reminiscent of Benin, Cameroon, Togo, Ghana, South Africa and Zambia.

With a net price of $4.3 billion, Dangote is the richest man in Africa and one among the 100 richest people on this planet in keeping with the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
