Singapore has probably the most powerful passport on the planet – ahead of Japan and the US

Singapore is in first place with its passport, which allows travel to 195 countries without first obtaining a visa. Japan was previously No. 1 but has since fallen to No. 2, joining France, Germany, Italy and Spain, which all offer access to 194 countries.

  • Passport holders of Greece, Malta, New Zealand and Australia can visit 190 countries with out a visa.

  • In 2024, travelers will give you the chance to go to 189 countries without visas with a passport from Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic or Canada.

  • Travelers will give you the chance to go to 188 countries visa-free in 2024 in the event that they have a U.S. passport.

  • Holders of passports from Estonia, Lithuania or the United Arab Emirates will give you the chance to go to 187 countries with out a visa in 2024.
