Malaysia overtakes Singapore and Thailand as Asia’s hottest travel destination

Malaysia is essentially the most beloved destination in Asia, in keeping with a rating by US financial site Insider Monkey, surpassing other Southeast Asian countries reminiscent of Singapore (third) and Thailand (eleventh).

Insider Monkey has hailed Malaysia as a model of unity and hospitality whose appeal goes beyond its modern urban landscapes and stunning natural beauty.

The rating was based on various criteria, reminiscent of respect, friendliness, diversity, democracy and variety of foreign tourists.

Malaysia got here out on top within the survey with an overall rating of 0.701, while Taiwan got here in second with a rating of 0.595. Malaysia ranked high for respect (eighth), variety of foreign tourists (fifth) and friendliness (2nd), while diversity and democracy scored 14 and 6, respectively.

Malaysia can be the fifth most visited country in Asia, with greater than 10 million tourists expected in 2022.

In the highest five, Taiwan got here second, followed by Singapore, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

The following Southeast Asian countries made the list: Malaysia (1st), Singapore (third), Philippines (seventh), Thailand (eleventh), Indonesia (twelfth) and Vietnam (thirteenth).
