The future is now: within the face of the world run by the machines

Artificial intelligence (AI) It went beyond laboratories -i science fiction movies-is now a part of our on a regular basis life. You say. Listens. You drive. Navigates. You scroll. He learns. From voice assistants to shopping floors, the machines aren’t any longer futuristic – they’re here and take control. He built into almost every institution that’s under the idea of the worldwide economy. From Alex, Nest and Siri to Uber and Waze, we are actually surrounded by intelligent machines with sophisticated software for self -learning. And that is only the start.

Early signs of machine domination in various industries:

  1. Wiser than people? Growth of autonomous cars
Autonomous vehicles, although relatively latest, proved to be more reliable than human drivers.
According to Virginia Tech, vehicles powered by people experience 4.2 accidents per million miles, in comparison with only 3.2 accidents for autonomous cars.
It is anticipated that this safety gap will probably be widened, and cars and not using a driver – proof against dispersion of SMS -Y messages or drunk driving – will soon change into the norm.

  2. New Wall Street brain: Algorithms which have overcome the market
In 2015, six of the eight largest hedging funds within the United States generated a complete of $ 8 billion in profit, mainly resulting from AI powered algorithms.
The machines now outweigh people when selecting wrestling.

  3. AI doctors: faster, cheaper, often more accurate
In AI medicine, radiologists quickly competed with specialist knowledge.
Scientists from Houston Methodist Hospital have developed AI software able to interpreting X -rays breast rays 30 times faster than doctors with 99% accuracy.
However, manual evaluation of mammography by people causes unnecessary biopsies in about 20% of cases.

  4. And in courtrooms: End of the assistant era?
According to the law, systems based on artificial intelligence perform discovery and due diligence more efficiently, accurately and cheap than even the perfect assistant teams.
Studies predict that almost all assistant tasks will soon be automated.
In the near future, relying only on a manual discovery may even be considered abuse.

These breakthrough in various industries is barely snapshots of a deeper transformation – one which transforms your entire economic landscape.

The World Economic Forum called the fourth industrial revolution in 2016, it’s currently in full motion. It means a period of economic interference, by which old production methods give method to latest technologies, and those that master these tools profit.

Like previous industrial revolutions, they were driven by Krosno, steam engine and assembly line, the fourth industrial revolution is powered by machines which will think – Intelligence systems.

I prefer it or not, the change is here.

Carlota Perez, an award -winning professor of economics on the London School of Economics, notes that the present economic slowdown is in step with the historic model, which normally precedes an enormous growth. Fearing that machines will take over work, historically appeared just before the economic boom based on technology. In fact, if the fourth industrial revolution doesn’t provide an enormous expansion of labor, we could meet with a catastrophic breakdown – one whose story won’t forgive.

We find that we’re on the brink of a brand new era. It is not any longer a matter of combat machines, but learning how you can work with them to construct the longer term. History teaches us: in every industrial revolution it isn’t the strongest that can survive – however the fastest to adapt. If we will learn, introduce innovation and cooperate with technology, our future stays. If not, we are going to change into nothing greater than a footnote in history.
