Now you may plan your KLIA Ekspres trip with Indonesian Traveloka

Malaysian company Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL), which operates Ekspres and Transit services at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), has announced a partnership with online travel agency Traveloka.

“This partnership is in sync with ERL’s mission to provide fast, impeccable services, reliable and convenient for travelers,” Noormah Mohd Noor, ERL general manager, told Antara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday.

Noormah added that ERL is proud to partner with a web based travel agency as popular as Traveloka, which is headquartered in Jakarta, but whose popularity can be significant in Southeast Asian countries corresponding to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

The partnership can be expected to expand ERL’s distribution pipeline.

“Now, in addition to purchasing tickets at the KLIA Ekspres counter, website and mobile app, travelers can easily plan their trips as they can also purchase KLIA Ekspres tickets using the Traveloka mobile app,” Normah said.

Traveloka’s country manager for Malaysia and Singapore, Halif Hamzah, said Traveloka’s commitment to providing travelers with convenient ways to book their trips is reflected in its partnership with ERL, hence the commitment to repeatedly expand its product reach.

Travelers can now easily purchase KLIA Ekspres tickets alongside their airline tickets and hotel rooms, making airport transfers more convenient. People can worry less about traffic congestion.

“To buy ERL tickets, [travelers] just download the Traveloka app from Google Play or the App Store in airport transport [section]. You can then select your origin and destination (KLIA or KLIA 2 to KL Central or vice versa) and the date and time of your trip. Click on the ‘Train’ tab and choose KLIA Ekspres,” Halif said.

There are two sorts of tickets. One is meant for adults (13 years and older) and the opposite for kids (2-12 years).

Travelers should enter their contact information and review their orders before proceeding with payment. After payment, your reservation confirmation and e-ticket can be sent by e-mail.

“The e-ticket can be viewed within the ‘My bookings’ tab on the fundamental page of the applying. Flexi tickets are valid for each train on the route and on the date chosen on the ticket, he said.

To board the train, each passenger receives their very own unique QR code.

He further added that to enter KLIA Ekspres, passengers only must scan the QR code of the e-ticket.

To mark the launch of the partnership, travelers can enjoy a reduction of RM8.88 (US$2.14) for a KLIA Ekpres ticket when purchasing tickets on the Traveloka app. This exclusive offer is on the market until October thirty first. (mut)
