The 24-year-old Indonesian YouTube star, known for her multi-colored hairstyles, offbeat skits and signature bandana, has turn into the primary person in Southeast Asia to cross the “milestone” of 10 million subscribers, the video-sharing website said on Thursday (February 7) .
The South China Morning Post reported that on February 5, Muhammad Attamimi Halilintar, or “Atta”, shared a photograph of himself with 10,000,057 subscribers to his fans.
True to his goofy online persona, Atta staged a PR stunt by which he posed in a hospital bed with a drip attached, suggesting the hard-earned fatigue that comes with being a YouTube star.
As of Thursday afternoon, Atta’s YouTube subscribers had increased to 10,195,181, making it the preferred YouTube channel in Indonesia, in line with data tracking website Socialblade. (That first hospital post was liked by greater than 850,000 people the identical day, and by Thursday it had 2.5 million likes). His videos have received over 770 million views, in line with Socialblade’s calculations.
“We have other YouTube channels in Southeast Asia that have surpassed 10 million subscribers, but they are all media companies,” said Tu Nguyen, YouTube spokesman for Asia-Pacific. “Atta is the first creator channel to cross this milestone.”
In a message to his fans, whom he calls “The A-Team,” Atta said: “When I finish my actions, I’ll search for a spot to construct a mosque,” he said. “I hope there will be more [Indonesian] YouTubers who will also have 10 million subscribers, so we won’t be underestimated by foreigners.”
He also deals with light reporting. as Jakarta Post wrote: Atta “publishes vlogs, celebrity interviews and tours of celebrity homes. He often posts messages about not giving up and describes how he built his profession from scratch.” He reportedly wrote a book in 2018 Atta Halilintar: Draw my life.
“I believe everyone knows him now. He’s a pleasant guy,” said Wendy Wulandari, 30, an Indonesian living in Hong Kong who first met Atta two years ago. “He’s wealthy now because of all his YouTube subscribers. I saw his family’s house in Jakarta, it’s big.
YouTube would not reveal how much Atta earns from his 10 million followers.
