The World Intellectual Property Organization has released the Global Innovation Index 2022. Singapore has moved as much as seventh place in the newest Global Innovation Index (GII) of the World Intellectual Property Organization, rating first within the Southeast Asian region. The country received a rating of 57.3.
With a rating of 38.7 points, Malaysia ranks thirty sixth on the earth and second in Southeast Asia. Malaysia is a middle-income country ranked in the highest 40. With a rating of 34.9 points, Thailand ranks forty third on the earth and third in Southeast Asia. With a rating of 34.2 points, Vietnam ranks forty eighth on the earth and fourth in Southeast Asia. With a rating of 30.7 points, the Philippines ranks 59th on the earth and fifth in Southeast Asia.
Indonesia also rose to seventy fifth place with a rating of 27.9 points, its highest since 2012, leading in entrepreneurial policy and culture. In Southeast Asia, Indonesia ranks sixth. Brunei Darussalam with a rating of twenty-two.2 points was 92nd on the earth and seventh in Southeast Asia. With a rating of 20.5 points, Cambodia ranks 97th on the earth and eighth in Southeast Asia. The Lao People’s Democratic Republic is the 112th most populous country on the earth and the ninth most populous country in Southeast Asia.
Vietnam (forty eighth), the Philippines (59th), Indonesia (seventy fifth), Cambodia (97th) and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (112th) have made essentially the most progress on this area over the past decade, rising greater than 20 places. These economies also lead on key innovation indicators.
Vietnam is a world leader in high-tech imports, the Philippines is a world leader in high-tech exports, and Indonesia is a world leader in entrepreneurial policy and culture. Indonesia (seventy fifth) moves up significantly to its highest position since 2012, when it was one centesimal.
