Thailand has been named the world’s safest travel destination through the Covid-19 pandemic.
The country topped the list as a result of its high International Health Regulations rating of 85 percent, moderate population density and really low variety of Covid-19 cases.
Berlin-based travel startup Tourlane conducted a study on August 10 to discover secure vacation spots amid the outbreak. The company collected data and analyzed various metrics, including the variety of hours of sunlight per day during outdoor activities, in addition to national 14-day notification rates of recent COVID-19 cases published by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
The list also took under consideration each country’s population density and its IHR rating, which assesses a rustic’s ability to answer public health threats and national and international emergencies.
The 10 safest places on the earth are: Thailand, Jordan, French Polynesia, Greece, Uruguay, Italy, Cambodia, Japan, Ireland and Botswana.
As of August 16, the entire variety of confirmed cases in Thailand was 3,377 (440 under state quarantine) – 125 are undergoing treatment, 3,194 have recovered and been released, and 58 people have died. There have been no cases of Covid-19 infection within the country for 83 days.
